Chen-Chen Wong - Food Engineer Raised in Taiwan, Chen-Chen experienced the best in cuisine all over Asia. One of her best memories was school trip where her mother would prepare a sushi lunch. Here began her love of sushi - delicately flavoured rice with roasted seaweed and wonderful fillings. Another memorable experience was spending hours with family each cooking their own vegetables and meat in a pot of simmering broth in the middle of the dining room table. Each person picked his/her ingredients then dipped them into the broth cooking them in seconds. Each mouth full was cooked fresh. Along with the food was lively conversation that lasted the night. This slow food was known as Sukiyaki dinner to the Japanese and Hot Pot dinner to the Chinese. Now after working 20 years in the telecom industry as an engineer, Chen-Chen has introduced friends, colleagues and neighbours to all her favourite dishes. Much to her surprise, the strong demand to prepare sushi and Asian food has led to Sushi Wong. She has not forgotten about the traditions that made the Chinguacousy Teahouse famous. Carrying on from Silvia and Allan Gibson (previous proprietors for over 10 years) Sushi Wong has homemade scones with thick cream, tea sandwiches, award winning pies and desserts.
